Your Account and Social Login Privacy Policy

What is social login?

Social login is a form of single sign-on that uses existing login information from a social networking service such as Facebook, Google or Twitter to sign in to a third-party website (in this case, lootadeal.com) instead of creating a new login account specifically for that website. It is designed to simplify logins.

Why does lootadeal offer social login?

Social login makes it easier to log in and register. When you choose to use social login, you will link your account on our website with a third-party social-networking site such as Facebook, Google or Twitter.

These social-networking sites verify your identity, allow you to log in (and register) to lootadeal and share personal information you allow us to collect.

Your email address from your social-networking account will be used to verify whether you have an existing account on lootadeal. If there is no matching email address, a new lootadeal account will be created using the email address collected from your social-networking account. Can I edit or delete information on my lootadeal account that’s been collected from a social-networking site?

Yes, you can edit or delete any information collected from a social-networking account that appears on your lootadeal profile and account pages. We will not repopulate any deleted data during subsequent logins on the social-networking account. If you connect to an additional social-networking account, we will only populate empty fields, which you can edit or delete, and we will not repopulate those fields during any subsequent logins on that newly connected social-networking account. If you delete any data, we will not use that information for any purposes on our website, nor will it be available to anyone through us; however, that data may remain in our system, such as in backups of our website data.

How does lootadeal use the data it collects when I use social login?

We will use the information we are allowed to collect from your social-networking sites to prepopulate some data fields on your account and profile pages. For example, we will prepopulate your first and last names on your profile page. In addition:

• Your email address will be used to send you newsletters and other communications if you opt in for them. We will never publicly display your email address on our site.
• Your name (first name and the first initial of your last name) and photo will be displayed on your public profile page and next to any reviews or comments you post on our site.

Can I delete my lootadeal account?

Yes, you can delete your lootadeal account at any time.

To delete your account, log in to the site, visit your account page, and click the “Close My Account” button toward the bottom of the page but if you don’t see this option on your account page then contact us at support @ lootadeal.com and request that we delete your account for you.

 Once you delete your account, all your personal information stored in your account and profile pages will be removed. However, that data may remain in our system, such as in backups of our website data. Any reviews or comments you posted will remain on the site, but the author’s name will switch to “Anonymous,” so your name will no longer be connected with your content.

We encourage you to take steps to help protect the confidentiality and security of your lootadeal.com account and personal information, including the following:

How lootadeal Secures and Protects Your Information

We take information security seriously, and protecting your personal information is an important priority to us. When you place an order through one of our Digital Platforms, we use appropriate physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to help secure your information. However, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure regardless of the security measures employed by lootadeal or you.

We satisfy the Payment Card Industry (“PCI”) security standards and requirements, which protect your payment card information by ensuring that it is processed, stored, and transmitted in a secure manner. We use a third-party processor for credit card and gift card transactions. Your credit card and gift card information is sent directly to that processor without being stored on our systems.

Children’s Privacy

If you are under the age of thirteen (13), you may not use our Sites or provide any information to us.
